Atropine: Nursing Care

Because atropine has anticholinergic side effects, it is often administered during surgery to decrease secretions.
Because atropine has anticholinergic side effects, it is often administered during surgery to decrease secretions. Monitor for urinary retention, and increase fluid and fiber intake to prevent constipation!
