EKG Flashcards for Nursing Students

10 Reviews

Who is this flashcard deck for?

  • Nursing Students
  • RNs
  • PNs

This flashcard deck was organized intentionally for RNs, PNs, and Nursing Students with the specific information they need to know in order to identify and interpret EKG results. New telemetry technicians as well as other medical students or professionals may find value in this deck, too!

It is not intended for cardiac specialists who require a more in-depth, technical understanding of EKGs.

What does this deck include?

  • Forty-two (42) 4” x 6” flashcards plus a cover card. Each card is durable, with a glossy front and a matte back for easy note-taking. This deck is larger than other Level Up RN flashcards to accommodate illustrations
  • Illustrations for all included dysrhythmias
  • Effective, fun memory devices for select dysrhythmias
  • This flashcard deck can be used alongside Cathy’s YouTube series: EKG Interpretation

How will this flashcard deck help me?

We designed this flashcard deck to help both nurses and nursing students learn and retain the information they need to know about EKG interpretation.

The flashcards are both a clear, complete study tool for nursing students and a helpful reference for practicing RNs, PNs, and other medical professionals.

This will help you learn:

  • Where to place EKG leads
  • Essential facts about the heart conduction system
  • How each step of the heart conduction systems is recorded on an EKG
  • EKG waveform components
  • The steps of EKG interpretation
  • The natural pacemakers in the heart and how they differ
  • How to differentiate between sinus, atrial, junctional, and ventricular rhythms
  • Essential Rhythms and Dysrhythmias (see the complete list, below)
  • How electrolyte imbalances, cardiac disorders, and respiratory disorders impact EKG results
  • Causes, symptoms, and interventions for bradycardia and tachycardia

Like all of Level Up RN’s resources, this flashcard deck is intended to help you synthesize the most important information you need to know about EKGs. It is not simply another huge book with an overwhelming amount of information!

What nursing exams does this flashcard deck help with?

  • Medical Surgical Exams that include EKG interpretation
  • Comprehensive Predictor exams (ex: HESI Exam)
  • NCLEX Exam

I absolutely LOVE these cards! I wouldn’t have made it through L&D and Peds without them!!! Buy then in the bundle.. I only bought what I thought I needed and ended up buying them all anyways. Best purchase I’ve made thus far for school.

EKG Flashcards

These flashcards are helping to learn so much cardiac info in my last semester of nursing school. I am attaching a post it with common causes and treatments to the flash card as I review them to learn. Grateful to have these to help learn a tough subject.
